Here at Bright Beginnings Panmure, we ensure that the children and families feel welcome, are accepted by their friends and feel secure in their daily routines. We support and encourage children to try new activities, to make new friends, to learn new ways of doing things and to take calculated and supported risks.
The children in the Pohutakawa and Kowhai room are currently exploring the various dimensions of living in a community and caring for the environment. They are developing an understanding of how people support and care for the community through a variety of professions. The group interest is also leading to conversations on emergency preparedness, keeping oneself safe and supporting each other. The Manuka room (our very little ones) have been exploring their surroundings by participating in community walks. Their interest has now taken a shift to exploring different kinds of trucks and diggers. The teachers are in the process of providing stimulating provocations to encourage this new found interest.
